I loved that rikki lake doc! I believe I'd already had my baby naturally at that point. My midwife asked me to read the ina May book and it was sweet but I was already converted ? At 23 I met a midwife through a mutual friend and was very frank that I didn't know what that was- she filled me in and I started looking into it. Looking back now, that midwife probably though I was an idiot but I'm so thankful I met her before I had kids!

I watched that same documentary when I was pregnant with my 4th child which helped push me to give birth naturally the last time. All of my others were with epidurals. Each birth experience was unique however. Great video!

I was always afraid of needles so that is what pushed me to want a natural childbirth. It was a great experience and If I ever was pregnant again I would do it the same. Thanks for a great video!

But why can't a woman opt to have a c-section if she wants one? I don't understand how we can live in a democratic country where I'm granted the right to life liberty and the pursuit of hapiness I can't decide to have a surgery. If a woman can choose to have a boob job or a tummy tuck because she wants it, I should be able to have a c-section if I want one. Vaginal birth may be 'natural' but the pelvic floor damage, risk of incontinence, tearing, and pain seems like its not at all worth it.
