   I am reading, "What Mothers Do Especially When It Looks Like Nothing," by Naomi Stadlen.  I think it's British, and they have some cultural differences (like 9-12 month maternity leave), but it is nice because it's less of an instruction manual and more of case studies of how important it is that you are doing these tasks that are considered to have little financial or social value.  I'm not too far yet, but I think it's worth a look!
