Oppositional Defiance Disorder? Give me a fucking break! Why is it nowadays that whenever there's a problem with your kid, we have to attach some disease to it? It can't just be that the parents suck? Oh no, don't blame the parents! It's never their fault! As a youth, I was diagnosed with Vegetable Avoidance Disorder. My parents took me for treatment, and thanks to my doctor and the good folks at Pfizer, I no longer have a pesky will of my own. Now I'm an office worker who relishes being underpaid and humiliated by my supervisors. Thanks!

and the list goes on and on. when he turned 14, his parents sent him to military school. he kept leaving the academy to vandalize cars or break into houses… his parents took him bak… they did everything in the book, some may be on the verge of abuse. he just wouldnt obey…. THATS oppositional defiance disorder. all his siblings turned out fine, well behaved and everything. but he was different. (one more fact: ODD is the child version of Antisocial Personality Disorder.)

I work with children who have "ODD" and I can attest that all of this is true. I am not allowed to give the children any type of discipline; not even minor consequences for their actions, yet I'm expected to help them change their behavior. The psychiatry/psychology field has gone too far and I need out of this field before my head explodes.

I have an idea. Lets label everything a "disorder" and shove a pill down their throats. I grew up with ADHD. When I got out of line all my parents had to do is give me a look and if I didn't straight up I got the belt.Labeling everything a disorder is why BIg Pharma is raking in millions and millions of dollars.
