I am a behavioral specialist at a middle school. These new kids are different. My recommendation is to put her in an out of school activity as a motivation. Cheerleading/dance/step is a group follower activity. She will learn her routine and be in a positive group think atmosphere. Do not enroll her siblings. Let her shine at that. She will grow at school and have something that makes her different and special. Therefore she have a leadership skill that make her shine. Check for some free ones, nonprofits, or recreation centers that offer these groups. Save a dime.

My mom was talked to us and everything but when it would get real bad she would say things like you wanna act out I’ll do the same . I’ll come up to the school hair not combed , teeth not brushed all of it . Because me and my siblings didn’t like to be embarrassed. But also my older siblings talked to the younger ones because like you said she may not want to talk to you about somethings . But I love how you didn’t give up even though you’ve tried everything in the book and some kids don’t have parents who have the same mindset as yours ! That made me feel good I’m only 20 and I can say everything hasn’t been peachy keen but my mom stayed on me rather I liked it or not ! I love watching your channel !

My mom used to make us wake up early on saturdays and volunteer at the soup kitchen or women’s shelter. That was more effective to me than being punished and getting whipped. I was able to talk to the kids who lived at the shelter and they would tell me how lucky I am and how I should listen to my parents. Best of luck. Parenting is hard

Jazz, your baby doesn’t care how her actions are hurting you. She’s 8! Compassion is not at the forefront. Currently you're caring for a child that only needs you. That’s all! I had my son in charter school but it did not work out due to "constant behaviors" after further assessing the situation I realize that those teacher complaint werent really valid. They were voicing issues that I did not see as problem, sometimes teacher comes in with their own prejudices and when a child doesn't "duck in a row" fast they see it as a problem. You can take this as a grain of salt, but please try spending more time in your child's school, you may the teachers are problematic.

When my son was 9, he went through this same phase. In the morning, he had eggs and bacon (absolutely no sugar for breakfast). He also had to run up and down the stairs five times before school and after to get all his “energy” out. Cause his teacher was trying to “recommend” an assessment for ADHD and medication.
I also cut off all “luxuries”. Like you said, I’m supposed to clothe and feed you the basics. Clothes and shoes came from the goodwill, food was cereal and milk, sandwiches ( no pizza, chicken, fast food) because that’s for children who behave. I was tempted to beat his ass, cause I am CPS and I know I can’t leave marks or bruises after 24 hours, but decided this would’ve been much more effective.
After about 4 weeks, he got it together. He’s 13 now, and has NOT been in trouble at all??.
