   This actually would help if my parents actually wanted to help me with my problems. Living with Asperger's, OCD, severe anxiety, depression, and a bunch of other things is not easy and sometimes I can be a bit (or very) crazy, but with my parents, one word out of my mouth and- *gasp* *mom faints* *dad puts on his man face* "How dare you?!"

   They really don't get it, or they just refuse to get it. Both would make sense. :/

   A lot of unwarranted generalization going on here. I've known teens who are quite stable emotionally and I've seen parents that fly off the handle at the drop of a hat. Your teen stereotypes are not unlike racism with rampant overgeneralizing that tells you nothing about any given individual.

   Using scientific jargon and talking about brain cells doesn't mean it's scientifically sound. This is just speculative pseudo-science masquerading as real science. It's this same kind of BS that people like Philip Rushton use to claim his racially based intellectual ranking theories. There's no empiracle evidence for any of this vapid generalizing. My personal experience is that I'm far more likely to emotionally erupt now, but in my youth was comparatively more tranquil and even tempered.
