Wtf are they talking about with video games causing seizures? I used to play WOW for up to 10 hours a day. I know at least 5 other people who on weekends will play all day. I have never ever heard of anyone having a seizure after playing like that for years. Somehow they managed to find a kid who has for the show? (as if its common).

Im 25 and earn double my age but i would never spend £200 on a dress for myself let alone a child who will grow out of the dress in a year. Awful parenting. I grew up with one pair of school shoes a year and if we ruined them then we would walk with broken shoes for the rest of the year till September.

Maddison's reactions actually weren't that bad. At least compared to other children I saw on this show. She did go collect the laundry on the first try. She didn't want to be hugged which is totally okay. And she only became really angry when her mom took her teddy away – she didn't even care about the DS. Yes, sure, she has an attitude, what wonder. But she is at an age where she has her own opinion already and her "talking back" or "having a mood" wasn't that bad.

80 hours on world of warcraft? Ok I am a parent and a world of warcraft player as can be seen from my profile picture. If you have given your kid an account on wow, you can stop them from playing by setting time limits. Even I don't play as much as 80 hours per week. My total time played from 2007 this is no joke, is 265days. That's 6360 in 12 years which averages around 1 hour and 45 minutes per day. That's 12 hours per week roughly. Blizzard have now put parental controls in as standard for a child account, but maybe these children are bypassing this. I believe that parents need to be educated around gaming, so they can stay one step ahead of their children. Don't take it away completely. If that is their desire they will hate you for removing it. That is not a relationship dynamic I would want to see from my kids. By giving you the parental controls then you still have that element of control and they still get to play on their game for an hour or two. I would say for children, no more than 3 hours and yes I know kids who will be reading this, raiding can take a long time, but you have a full week! Why not set up a guild where you all log on at the same time after tea time, on the Wednesday and commit to doing a couple of bosses for the raid, then the next night, the same again. I'm talking about balancing it out.

You can put admin restrictions on the pc with each child having their own profile. You then give them an hour to play and it warns them at 15 mins and 2 mins that time is almost up. It locks them out. It's something that I've put into place and find it works well.

I honestly don’t understand Madison’s mother…. Why the heck would you bathe, dress and brush the teeth of a 9 year old girl?! She’s literally at the age of puberty and those are life skills most 3 year olds know. I work at a daycare where 18 month olds are taught to wash their own hands and throw away their trash, so I find it ridiculous that a 9 year old doesn’t know basic life skills. That’s really sad and unacceptable. ?

can't stop thinking about Madison. Her mother wanted a pageant princess so Madison tried her hardest to be the best and please her mom. Then suddenly (so it appears on video) Madison's mom wants to turn her into a normal kid. But this child has no experience being child like. Her mother could have been much kinder and loving while staying firm and helping her princess become a child for the first time. I think Madison's spirit was broken and when she hugged her mom during that walk it made me sad. Sad, because as a child, all she wanted was her mom's love. The only way she could "earn" that was by obeying her mom. This little girl is going to need lots of therapy to find her true self after spending her first 9 years trying to please her mom. You can bet the child never begged for designer clothes. That was the mom's dream she was living out through her daughter.

Can I just say that the way Madison's mum decided to go about fixing this was actually really unfair, but I don't mean unfair as in; "oh she has to do chores now" I mean as in; this was outrageously sudden, like at a flip of a switch, Madison is expected to go from getting whatever she wants and behaving how she feels, into all of a sudden, she has to give up a whole lot of her stuff, she has to do chores to earn back her things, she has to be on her best behaviour and on top of that, you can see she's also feeling unloved because when she fails to do all of this just right, she gets punished immediately. That was way too sudden because she never got a chance to learn new behaviour patterns before she was being punished.. It's just going to make her afraid. She should have been allowed to be upset about this at first, it's her mum's fault that this is all so new.
