But are you? I prefer to be more kind to mysel, Iz. To be more kind to myself by even the labels I choose to call it. By not being able to do it all is not "failing". You succeed by 1. recognizing its physically impossible to do it all. 2. And by paring down the external stimulation, the exposures that put you in the position of wanting to, or to be more accurately, being TOLD by those messages that you should want/do more and therefore when you physically cannot, then you have somehow "failed". The action of doing more is a consequence of internal consciousness. Browse everybody else's life on Instagram and Facebook and like an armchair traveler enjoy their moments as if you were there without feeling trapped into the idea that you too should have to actively engage. The fear of missing out. FOMO thats all that it is. And by playing into that lie you set yourself up to judge yourself as a "success" or " Failure" and therefore ultimately have to make a decision of " I am ok/ not ok, with that". Its a false flag. Be kinder to yourself. ?

Really well put. There's this pressure to do more, better, bigger, but we are also constrained by time. Set alone, those thoughts compound into being insufficient or, as you put it, failing. One thing I'm trying to focus on is opportunity cost. Everything has an opportunity cost and once you've accepted that cost, then you just move on. Either the activity is worth the cost or it isn't. You'll overpay at times (we all do even when it comes to monetary cost), but that's a good learning experience. If the activity/opportunity/experience wasn't worth the cost, note it and move on.
That's how I'm trying to think about it, at least. Thank you for being so open and honest about your internal struggles. It's a breath a fresh air when you see someone you perceive to be a full and well-balanced life to have the same thoughts and struggles I do. I guess it's part of the human experience.
