Since you are an "ever learning man" I will assume you are continuing to learn; this is yet another resource for parents to continue to learn and be better parents. In general we parent as we were parented. We have learned, ever learning man, that some parenting techniques of 30 years ago do not produce healthy children, so we need these 'books' to continue to become better parents. I am grateful for resources such as these.

    it is so difficult/impossible to get my nephew to talk when he's done something wrong, even an hour after the fact, idk if he's just especially sensitive and scared of his emotions or what, but he gets so frustrated with me when I nicely ask him questions and try to get him to talk, and then I end up feeling like I'm lecturing him while he's trying to escape, fun times.
