lol. Their definition of "conscious attachment parenting" IS the definition of being parents. OF COURSE, you have to adjust your life to a kid when you have one. I swear, some parents these days are nutters! Especially vaccine denial! We had eradicated Measles, Mumps and Rubella and now they've made a comeback b/c parents are being naive and don't understand science. We are falling behind in the world b/c of all these silly liberal arts degrees that aren't contributing to innovation, but rather dividing people more. I DO think they give too many vaccines at one time, but I also don't know if vaccine schedule is the same as it was in the 70's. I truly believe things like autism are environmental, or happens during gestation due to environmental toxins, or perhaps it's due to all the lead we apparently have in our water! We must demand this problem be fixed. I just saw recently that East Chicago has higher lead levels than Flint! They build housing on top of an old lead refinery and of course it's low income, so it's the poisoning of the black population. Then they wonder why black kids have problems in school and with more violence. It's the LEAD, duh!

Home-schooling isn't for everyone and I think it's teaching kids to be selfish. No wonder millennials are so nuts and don't even know the basics of science and how to play well with others! I don't think they should let parents home-school unless they have gone to college. I know a family where both parents dropped out, they have five kids, who are attention starved and they home-school! How can parents who didn't finish high school or higher education teach their kids the standard info needed? You ask any recent high school grads what the Bill of Rights are and they have NO CLUE! We have to gain our rights back as they are slowly being chipped away since nine eleven and with Trump in office you can expect another attack on the US, in my opinion! I finally figured out that the CIA and FBI are left and right wing agencies!

It never ceases to amaze me that women think themselves as UNIQUE when they have a kid! Got news for y'all, ALL women can have kids and you don't get a special award, privledges or prizes for having them, except for tax credits. I'm a woman too and I just think craziness has been taken to a whole new level over the past couple decades! The horrors of major self-aggrandizement are appearing and I think that's a result of reality TV, video games, Internet and YouTube. It's utterly astounding to me how many kids just want to be "famous, a rapper, or an athlete." Not specific, realistic careers. Doctor, Engineer, Scientist, Firefighter, Cop, etc.
I think media, games, and movies (too many parents are not following the age requirements) have been damaging to many young people when they realize they are just average, not special, and there's nothing wrong with that! So few people gain local, much less international fame and usually you have to be born into it or have parents who have connections to be successful. How many times have men, and it's usually men, gone nuts b/c they don't have the attention of a woman or a big following on social media, and go take it out on others. Sure, social media is great for organizing but no one CARES what you ate for lunch!

Evangelicals, Mormons and Home-schooling have produce a generation of naive young adults! There are too many people who don't listen to the experts and think that they know best when they have little to no education. What happened to people respecting those with knowledge, education, and understanding of HISTORY? When did "facts and scientific evidence" become dirty words? I would think that going to the moon and all our technical advancements would have taught people the power of Science and to not fear it!
We are falling behind the rest of the world in education across the board and I think a lot has to do with destruction of the public school system, religious schools that spend too much time on ONE book, destruction of teachers's unions/underpaid teachers, and kids who get no discipline at home and take bad behavior to the classroom where teachers no longer have authority to reprimand them. Too many single working parents are letting kids raise themselves, and you end up with teens who have no compassion and commit atrocities like the Chicago kidnappers!
She will change her mind on vaccinations when her kids gets measles and ends up dead! I wonder if she lets her dog get it's shots! It should be child abuse if parents don't vaccinate and the kid ends up sick. The kid will likely be OK if all the kids around her kid have been vaccinated, it's call "herd coverage." But more and more parents are believing nonsense about vaccines! It's really sad and scary and her kid will always be susceptible to these diseases and I hear they are more deadly as you get older. Plus, her kid isn't going to be accepted at schools or summer camp if she doesn't vaccinate.

I bet this girl never had Chicken Pox. They are NOT FUN and I was one of the last generations to NOT have a vaccine for them! Sure wish I did b/c it's left permanent scars all over that stay with you for LIFE! Don't be stupid, vaccine your kids.

I've gotten flu shots every Fall, except this year (for no particular reason other than I'm already sick and I do have a minor reaction to them where I feel "flu-y" for 48hrs), and last time I had flu was winter of '97/'98! They work.

Amazing how the parents have one baby for les than 2 years and than call themselves experts on child rearing. I would like to see certificates of child pshycology degrees and years of experienc and training befor i even think about following a parenting practice.

The chickenpox vaccine is a different story than some serious illnesses. In Finland, you can get a Chickenpox vaccine if you are twelve and never had the Chickenpox. I got the vaccine because I never had the sickness.
