Peaceful! First of all congratulations to you and your family.
I am so happy to have found hypnobirthing during pregnancy. I was deeply scared about birth and not afraid to admit it like many women I met during birth preparation class. But unlike them I wanted to fight this fear. So when I found out about hypnobirthing I was instantly hooked and booked a course. Although we had to drive 1 hour every time to attend it was more than worth it. Even my first sceptical husband lost some of his fears and started telling everybody about this course. (Beeing not American I personally didn't like the original hypnobirthing book and CD as it was culturally too different, but the course was motivating, informative and adapted to my culture). Although I didn't have the birth I wished for (induced labour after my waters broke 4 weeks too early), hypnobirthing and beeing able to breath through the different stages helped me enormously.
But all this "spiritual" aspect was just one side of the coin: equally important was all the information I learned about birth and what could happen (both positive and negative). Off course this can be scary too, but beeing informed and having decided with your partner/doula/midwife before the birth what to do in critical circumstances is empowering and helped me to stay calm and centred with me, my body and my baby during labour.
All the best to every pregnant woman and make the birth yours!
PS: sorry for the long comment but this is a topic that is really important for me ♥️

I can't wait to dive into your content. I did hypnobabies for bringing my son into the world and we loved it! No pain, just a bit of intensity and a whole lot of peace, wonder and joy. The best part was feeling that I was so relaxed that I was able to communicate with my child and get his cooperation on how he would enter the world. I can't get enough of talking about my birth experience 🙂

The beginning progressed quickly and without problems but later she kind of got stuck, which made my active labor a 7 hour stretch of pushing. I really believe if it wasn't for my yoga, meditation and hypnobirthing practices during pregnancy I wouldn't have been able to do it. This way I was able to keep myself calm and in control and in the end I managed to have an all natural birth

Unfortunately my body experienced a lot of trauma while giving birth and i hope going with less intervention if we’re lucky to have a baby the second time around will be better

I also felt that the pain of labor was not completely overwhelming.

(The first was induced and was a traumatic experience for me) I will try to use hypnobirthing, but I don’t feel confident enough just yet. I need to practice more. I’m due in 9 weeks, so time is running out.

The following home/water births were transformative for me as well! Pain is real, but letting go into the pain rather than fighting it, knowing it’s a normal part of the natural process that will bring about the beauty of our new baby, gives me indescribable joy. Thanks for promoting the truth about labour and birth!
