Most parents are lazy anyway so if theirchild has to move back in its their own fault. They should have made sure they were independent before they left to go to college.

If their kids don't already know and act on the issues of house upkeep than they have something wrong with both nature and nurture.

There is something wrong when in hard economic times a young college graduate is expected to live on his/her own. In times past, especially during the Great Depression, multiple members of extended families lived together it was not optimal but necessity for the family to stick together. We must return to a time when families took care of their own, for the government seems not to help. We are not a dog eat dog world where family members will die for lack, we must take care of each other!
