Alan, I’ve been on a journey of self awareness for some time now, and connecting with my inner child to heal trauma, in order to parent my Son in the best way possible. However, this video can help take me to the next level, because although I have felt into my body and had conversations/made connections, this is so comprehensive in “how” to do it with the greatest and fullest outcome. I know there is tremendous value in this type of work, and am grateful to you for all the knowledge you are sharing about this process. I've had some group therapy doing inner-child work, but my big concern is my lack of ability to be less fearful than my inner child construct. My "adult" self feels terrified as much as my inner child, so I know I probably have to do some sort of other groundwork before being able to engage successfully in this process. (The therapist holding the group sessions died after a short but intense illness.)

My inner child killed himself at 11. I feel like if I could eulogize him, I could learn better to live with emptiness than I live now with constant desire to be free of the pain that my inner child wanted to escape.
