No one cares what people say anyways. I speak less and less as i age because i know people don't care how i feel or even believe anything I say anyways. And they use anything I say against me. Everyone always favored my brother more because he says little. So when he does speak people listen and care. There is power in silence.

80% of communication is non verbal.

But there are important times to speak so I am glad these young women are communicating more. ?

Speech therapy should be made compulsory in school, not to just people who had difficulty such as SM, but also to troubled kids that can talk normally, but in a way that people can misunderstood that can bring frustration to the kids themselves and end up having some disciplinary issues.

It's great that they make this documentary to raise awareness, but the tone of this documentary is like this is some joke…
When I was young, like red, I was also smiling a lot, because I didn't want to look rude to people who talk to me, also because I got many funny people around me. But, I really get too anxious that no word would come out of my mouth. Some point, I couldn't even breath, my mind just went blank, I couldn't even think what to say. But, after I get into my comfort zone, alone, I'm actually sad and disappointed in myself, and that would be on my mind all the time, I shouldve said this, I shouldve said that, but then again in a certain situation I just couldn't. Red, I got you. May you able to overcome at least to the point not to feel disappointed in yourself or at least not making people around you frustrated much

i might have had something like this as a kid. up until i was 11 years old i couldn't even open my mouth around most people like i remember my palms sweating and my heart beating and i would shake. i always thought and was told i was just very shy. it got better when we moved away but even now as an adult in my 30s, i have to force myself to speak to new people

is there any treatment for adult? My condition kind of improve a bit as I get older, but I just give up now. I try working online, so I don't have to be in that uncomfortable situation for me, but since the income is not as much as if I work out there with my degree, I sometimes felt like I need to just be brave and go out there, but it still hard..,

megan is really brave.. It must have been really hard for her to start talking but she did overcome her fear courageously.

Same with red who took the first step of talking to his grandpa through a mobile phone . I feel so proud to the both of you even though I'm a stranger to you?
