I'm 15 and I just dont like vacations. no one can ever agree on what to do, and staying away from home makes me anxious and uncomfortable. something is always bound to go wrong. I would much rather stay home, hang out with my friends, and be comfortable

To a family function instead. But to me (and hopefully to your kids).. It was always a joy coming home and having pictures and souvenirs to show my friends from the vacation. Your kids love unconditionally bc they haven't been taught not to. (I can tell. Awesome mom) so no matter what they do with you and your husband, I personally think they will LOVE.

I am 20 years old and I don't have kids or do I know what it's like. But as a kid at heart I know that it's hard to miss those important things at school to go

I so agree with you – we had a long conversation about gratitude and YES!! They are far too young to be making those decisions on their own… Fortunately she seems to be embracing it now 🙂

I agree with ReneeakaMekhismom, but I have to say that as the mom of a 13 and 11 year old, I don't even want to PLAN a family vacation because my kids will raise such a ruckus. This holiday, the five year old and I are flying solo to visit my dad in Santa Fe. Crisis averted 🙂

Your kids are too young to make that decision. They will have fun on vacation and it will be wonderful. You've already paid for the vacation, right? And honestly, not everyone can go on vacation so it is also about teaching our children about being grateful.
