I used to cry to African music when I was about 6. Or at least, it sounded African to me. A while ago my mom said it was something Russian/Czech.
Either way, it involved heavy drums, women 'screechingly' screaming ('NnniiijjjAAAAAAAHH') and men making réálly low and deep noise with their voices.
It was called a dance of fire or something..or dance of the flames..., but it gave me visions of an angry village that chased people down and hung them. It sounded so agressive.
Sadly my mom just never realised how serious I was about being scared of that music, I'd lock myself in my room and cover my ears, up until one day, when she walked in while I was crying in my room. She didn't play it anymore after that.
