I may be too laid back. But with my girls I never rushed potty training. When they were ready we started. They weren’t going to walk into kindergarten in a diaper lol. My first daughter was 19 months and my second daughter was three and a half. You are doing a great job Jackie. Everybody does there own thing. 🙂 love you all. Go Eagles !!!! Who are you guys rooting for ?

Oh hey that polish you used on Abbey's nails I had a "friend" from church whose mom used that on her with in 3 days she got used to it and it did nothing. Lol but this was a 10 year old and her teeth were severely effected from it. And my sister was 4 when she stopped the dentist said she needed to so my mom like you told her if she didn't suck her thumb for a month she could get her ears pierced. A month later no more sucking thumb and pierced ears. Lol. Kids do grow out of it but at the same time they sometimes do it in there sleep like a security blanket.

I had a lisp when I was younger because I sucked my fingers. I went to speech therapy and they just had me press my tongue against the bottom of my teeth and make the s sound. My mom also tried that nail polish and as nasty as it was I was a dedicated finger sucker lol it took a long time for me to stop. Even when I stopped during the day they would automatically be in my mouth as I was sleeping.

How long until Antonio and Sugar get REALLY big? Your Super Bowl party sounds like it’s going to be fun! I agree. There is no parenting style. You are right. Each child is a different person, with different needs. I think the way you respond to each child is different too. One thing may work for one child but not for another. And I too teach each new class every year differently because they are different people. I get mistaken as “lenient” too because like you I believe I shouldn’t have to raise my voice either…..or else like you said you are on their level. You explained everything great!
