lol. I was a latch key kid in the 80's and 90's. Kids need to learn to be independent and I was pretty much left to myself to do sports and study all the time in high school too! Went to University and no parents there. If you want you kids to do well in college, they SHOULD be disciplined by age 16 to make their own breakfast and lunches. I was making my lunches in MIDDLE school. My parents taught me to be self-reliant and i turned out fine.

This has got to be scripted and a joke! These reality TV shows are damaging to kids in my opinion. Bianca looks great, NOTHING wrong with how she looks. This mom is WAY too critical in a non-helpful way focusing too much on looks! And forcing a 9yr old to lose 3lbs is child abuse to me. She is a tiny thing already and it's not healthy to do that to a kid!

Sorry to inform parents, but having a big family isn't good for the kids. I only had ONE sibling and my mom was a teacher and dad had a long commute and missed all my sporting events, so I was a "latch key" kid. Which was fine, I liked having the house to myself after school, but most days my mom came home from teaching 5th grade and was exhausted or had a migraine and had to nap most days. So, I didn't get the same attention that my older sister got as a kid. If it's hard for two parents to give full attention to their kids, then I can't imagine a single parent with several kids being able to fulfill them all.
