There is a new one called CoParenter that is admissible in court as are a lot of these others. You can even use it solo which is the only app like that. So even if your ex is not using it you can record responses etc. My ex and I are just about to change apps and I think this will be the one. It even records drop off and pick ups so you know if the parent is on time or not. I have not used it so this is just what I have read about it. It is not free though.

Do any of these apps let you contact the other parent to check on your child's well being while they have visitation?

Thank you so much for your videos. Truly Appreciate you. Can you do a video regarding people who have children with a narcissist (never married). My question is how far can I go with no contact when he is barely in the picture.

My situation: He was not in the picture for over 5 years. Found out we were doing well, then SUED me for custody and wanted me to have to pay him child support. He moved from out of state to the state where we live and got a job at my bank; which mean he possibly has access to my bank accounts. He has no home, no car, no phone etc, so also likely wanted to use our daughter to be able to get public assistance, bigger tax refunds, and child support from me. He only visited her during the 1 year court case. He did not get legal or physical custody, but they did award him visitation, which he does not use, he stopped seeing her for over a year now once he “lost” the case in his eyes since he did not gain anything financially. In fact, they are now making him pay me child support, which I’m sure caused a narcissistic injury. My daughter and I moved for a fresh start, and he has now MOVE again and lives somewhere near by a couple streets away. He is also likely now working at my bank branch around the corner from our new home. When we saw him walking down the street, he refused to make eye contact and acts as if he does not want to be seen or bothered. I don’t understand, why did he go out of his way to move to our city so close and transfer his job if he does not want to be seen or does not want to see his daughter? BIG QUESTION: IF HE CONTACTS US SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE, AM I OBLIGATED TO RESPOND, DROP WHATS GOING ON IN OUR LIVES AND START RESPONDING AND LETTING HIM SEE HER AGAIN AND COME IN AND OUT OF HER LIFE WHEN EVER HE PLEASES SINCE TECHNICALLY HE WAS AWARDED VISITATION??? Sorry for all the details, but there are no videos out there addressing this situation. Thank you sooo much for your help, I can’t thank you enough!

The best way to deal with a narc is no contact !! I know some people can’t do this , due too having to co-parent ect.
But do you really need to contact them ? Speak through a mutual family member , it’s easier .
I’ve gone 10 years no contact whatsoever with my baby’s father and until recently he’s decided he wants contact with her ?
She’s ten now so I allowed her to have nightly phone conversations with him ( who am I to keep a child from her father) , within two days his manipulation started . I can hear him making all the promises in the world to her . He’s told her she has a baby brother and a step mum . All very exciting for a ten year old !
I can hear him telling her how happy he is with his life . It’s lovely to hear , especially to see how happy my daughter is now she has contact .
Only , as these phone calls continue I can hear him asking about me and mentioning things he shouldn’t really be mentioning to a child , so I had no choice but to speak to him myself .
Within a day he was crying saying how much he loves me and misses me ect !! He’s saying he doesn’t give a f**k about anything else except me and my daughter ?
This guy already left one girl with a new born baby (me) and now he’s willing to destroy his new family ?
I’ll never understand why narcs have children with woman they know they don’t love ?
His poor girlfriend and child are living with this man ,while he’s telling another woman he loves and misses her .
How do they do it?
My good natured side wants to tell her exactly what he’s been saying , but then I ask myself “ who am I to ruin a family ?” Should I let this girl learn the hard way , or flat out tell her how much of a dog her partner is ?

Thank you so much for posting this topic at this exact time Angie. I was just discussing about this type , to a friend. My EX- Covert narc and I have been fighting in court for over 7 yrs now, over just one of our 3 children Yes, all 3 are both our children and the 1 is not the oldest or the youngest. he is just the one who my exNarc has been successful at turning him against and scared of me. And I was given a second cancer diagnosis in 7 yrs,but this time it is terminal. And my ex has my kid thinking I am faking it to get people to pity me and give me things, plus way more! He basically is training him to abuse me just as he did, and at the same time, he is also now getting our son to think that he is too emotionally unstable to do anything without his father. So all he does is play very inappropriate and violent games with his headphones on and being with him. He cant live without telling him everywhere he is, and has him thinking that he needs his father to tell him what to do and how. He seriously can't make a decision on his own anymore. Its sad!
They have basically become one being. Including how they dress, styles his hair, his hobbies, friends, everything! Its so weird. Now, Just like me when I was with him, he has him thinking that he is not worth anything without him and needs no one else. Just like he did to me while. And now my son hates me so much. Anyway, the judge did order us into reunification counseling, and said parental alienation is going on here. He also recommended for us to both attend an 8 wk course together about co-parenting. First, It is way too expensive for me. especially now that I cant work do to the cancer, and I now have to pay for the Reunification Therapy, which is not covered by insurance. Plus, we both know what to do, I have been doing it all along. But he just says he will do things, and never does. He feels he is entitled to do things just as he wishes. So this would be such a wast of time. But he wants to go to look good to the judge. But besides this, I still fear him very much. And he still stalks me and trashes me to everyone, even after being held in contempt for contacting my church friends to trash me. He is truly an evil man if you do not do what he wants. Otherwise, he looks perfect to everyone else. Kind (overly kind) does all the computers for all the local churches and police stations, as a volunteer. You know, like the story of the "candyman". But saying this, we do have to do something to help us with co-parenting all 3 of our children. I just told someone that knowing my ex-narc is very much into tech stuff, maybe an app might be the answer. Just as long as there is no way for him to change things that were done or said while using the app. (he is a computer genius who has a habit of doing things like this) Do you suggest a specific one for children of different ages? My kids are 11,13,15. The child who is being alienated is the 13 yr old, but my 11 yr old is not far behind. But my oldest sees and understands what his father is doing, even-though he has autism. Perhaps its because he is more Asperger. Anyway, we are going to court again on Monday Aug. 21,2017 and I would love to have this in place before we go. So any support or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
